This BMW Alpina got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1994 BMW Alpina B3 3.0 was delivered to Alpina in Buchloe, Germany on April 6th, 1994, and sold new from BMW Hamburg before being imported to Japan in 2000. The seller purchased the car in 2017 and imported it to the US in March 2019. The car is powered by an Alpina-modified 3.0L inline-six mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential, and features include Dark Sapphire Blue Metallic paint with Alpina graphics, front and rear spoilers, 17″ wheels, themed Graphite fabric upholstery, and more. Service carried out in April 2019 included a new water pump. thermostat, idler and deflection pulley, spark plugs, coolant hoses, and more. Now showing 74k kilometers (~46k miles), the B3 is offered in California with Alpina Certificates of Authenticity, three keys, factory manuals, partial service records, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The car is finished in Dark Sapphire Blue Metallic (dunkelsaphirblau-metallic), and the condition of the paintwork is shown up close in the gallery below. Model-specific features consist of silver Alpina graphics, a front air dam, rear spoiler, and B3 badging. The seller notes in May 2019, Apollo Auto Spa in Walnut Creek, California performed a paint correction and ceramic coating of the car, along with an engine bay and undercarriage cleaning. Alpina 17″ wheels were reconditioned by the seller and wear Michelin Pilot Sport tires with the rears being replaced in June 2019, and the fronts showing 2013 date codes and 75% tread remaining. Bilstein shocks are fitted on all four corners, and in May 2017 a new brake light switch was installed and a brake fluid flush was performed.

The cabin features manually-adjustable sport seats trimmed in Graphite Alpina cloth, an Alpina/MOMO steering wheel and shift knob, Alpina-branded floor mats, and wood trim on the center console, dash, and door panels. A plaque above the glovebox states that this B3 is numbered 0090. The seller notes a tear in the driver’s side cloth was repaired and the interior was recently removed to be shampooed and cleaned. Alpina-branded instrumentation includes a 280-km/h speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, a fuel efficiency gauge, a temperature gauge, and a fuel level gauge. 74k kilometers (~46k miles) are shown on the digital odometer, a few hundred of which were added by the seller.

This Alpina-modified 3.0-liter inline-six was rated at 250 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. In April 2019, serviced performed by European Werkstatt in Walnut Creek, California included a new water pump, thermostat, valve cover and gasket, idler and deflection pulley, spark plugs, coolant hoses, fuel filter, air conditioning recharge, and more as detailed on the invoices below.
