DB9 in a line. Here is a small selection of the DB9s you’ll see at the Aston Martin Heritage Festival.

It was two decades ago that Aston Martin launched the DB9 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

In celebration of 20 years of the beautiful DB9, there will be over 15 examples at the Aston Martin Heritage Festival. Before introducing them, let’s review what made the DB9 a show-stopper in 2003.

  • It was the first car to be built in Aston Martin’s new factory at Gaydon in Warwickshire
  • Powered by a V12 engine, this was the first Aston Martin developed on the VH (Vertical / Horizontal) Platform
  • The DB9’s bodyshell weighed 25 per cent less than the DB7
  • It was such an advance from the DB7 that Aston Martin decided not to stick with sequential numbering so DB8 was bypassed

Here are DB9s attending the festival. They will be parked together as a collective. It’s a chance to connect with the DB9 community, compare stories and share a passion for this exceptional car.
