Since 2000 it is being assembled on before-conveyer line, at this time joint-stock GM-Lada (signed 27.06.2001) is preparing to produce it, maybe in 2002, for $7,500. More than a half of all SUVs will be sold outside of Russia.

The replacing for VAZ-2121, and it has about the same off-road
